If you feel you may not use the 100ml up within 6 months from purchase then we recommend buying the 55ml – keep the product fresh as possible as it feels nicer on the skin.

Important Notice

We are now required by the Cosmetic Products Group Standard and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) to apply a warning label to this product stating:

“Not to be used for children under 3 years of age.”

This requirement relates to the inclusion of Sodium Borate, which is used in this product at less than 1%, the maximum level currently permitted in products applied to the skin.

New Zealand cosmetic labelling regulations are being aligned with European Union requirements, which have introduced this warning statement. The EU is also working towards a complete ban on Sodium Borate, which may ultimately require us to reformulate all creams containing this ingredient.

We would like our customers to know that we have used Sodium Borate safely in our formulations for 40 years and do not believe it poses a risk at the levels used in our products. The Sodium Borate we use is a high-quality supplementary grade that is also approved for human consumption. Boron, from which Sodium Borate is derived, is a naturally occurring mineral that is increasingly depleted in many soils.

At this stage, we have no desire to reformulate these products, as we are extremely happy with their safety, stability, and performance. However, we are committed to complying with all current regulations and will only reformulate if future legislation leaves us with no alternative.

In the meantime, products containing Sodium Borate will carry the required warning label on the bottom of the jar as mandated by current regulations.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, *Jojoba, *Almond, *Sunflower and *Avocado Oils, *Beeswax, *Shea Butter, *Calendula and *Chamomile Extracts, Sodium of Borate (natural emulsifier, pharmaceutical grade less than 1%) plus a special blend of Essential Oils; Naiouli, Rose Geranium, Rosemary, Thyme, Clove.
